5 Games to Get Your Girlfriend Into Gaming

Basically, here are a few fun games even non-gamers can enjoy!

Step 1: Get them into gaming.

So… I am part of the Gen Z minority that is really not that big into gaming. I like the idea of videogames but I’m pretty trash at them and they usually don’t hold my interest. I’m the type that would rather read, draw, go outside, exercise, etc. Buuuuut my boyfriend loves videogames though and he has tried to get me to play various games with him and while some miss the mark, here are a few games that really sucked me in and have made me really start to enjoy videogames. Starting at the bottom and going to the top, here are five awesome indie games to suck your reluctant girlfriend (or boyfriend) into the big worlds of video games.

#5: Civilization 5

Civ 5 is a world-building game that goes through the different stages of a civilization, from just a settlement to a world-dominating empire. There are different classes of pawns (settlers, scouts, archers, horsemen, lancers, etc.) used to help your civilization grow.

This is an awesome game, especially for the type of person that likes board games but not videogames, who likes constructing things, story-telling, and especially more competitive people. At a playtime of between 45–50 hours, it is a bit longer than some newbs might be willing to put in, but most people who like board…
